Have you tried comparing HDR visuals with the monitor forced to 120Hz versus 240hz using the built-in setting from the OSD? So I don't know that it would benefit me to get the Neo for the better HDR when I really don't use HDR now.Subreddit of the 21:9 & 32:9 aspect ratio Join us on Discord! / Ultrawide Enthusiasts I don't really use HDR because in Windows it just looks dull with no contrast and in games I can't seem to get the setting right anyway and everything just looks too bright and washed out. I play FPS and racing/flight simulator games at 120htz at full native resolution and I really enjoy the one I have. I'll end up with issues on the new panel when I have no issues with my current one. It won't be a big enough upgrade from my current Odyssey G9 to warrant spending the money, or B. I'm tempted to pull the trigger on it, but also nervous that A. Now I can get a refurbished G9 Neo for $1,280. I've always wished I could get the Neo for the local dimming LEDs, but the cost was too much. I game on it with a new 3090 Ti (originally had a 1080 Ti when I first got the monitor.) So I have had the original G9 for a couple of years almost, with no issues and I love it. I mean again, enabling and disabling the side by side is like, 3 seconds instead of 1, but I just question the lack of thought gone into the menu system, unless they really don't expect people to use the feature on and off. This is generally fine, except they aren't remappable and 2 of the directions do the same thing while the audio setting is useless, the speakers in this thing are just trash, they don't even really qualify as "Well, they're there." This leads to the problem with the side by side mode being kind of annoying to enable/disable. If you move it towards you, you get volume output. If you move it back, you get basic picture adjustments. Another example of poor menu layout, if you move the control nipple left or right (no click), it brings up the input select. It's honestly a small annoyance, but for the MSRP of $2400 I'm amazed how poorly laid out the menu system is. You have to click it in, scroll right, click again, click a third time, then scroll to on or off, then click again. Using the control nipple, you only kind of get quick access to disabling the side by side. This even includes things like color and contrast settings, outside brightness. When in side by side mode, there's a lot of settings you can't change, such as refresh rate, so you have to turn it off, make the change, then go back to side by side.As a standard, for general desktop usage I leave it at 60 just for power consumption. HDR doesn't seem to work unless it's in 240hz.I like it, but there's some weird stuff it does, especially with user input/controls that I really wish would change. Functionally speaking, both are still fine. I got mine a couple months ago on sale, after a buddy got his sometime last year.
